Amy & Luis played a micro wedding (the new trend of 2020) that was live-streamed from the freshly redesigned backyard of their new house. It was beautiful and fun to also see my good friend Crystal was officiating!
We love playing this beautiful song from Pixar's Coco. Luis' family celebrates Dia de los Muertos, which is the featured holiday in the movie, and we thought it would be nice to make a video of the main song.
I had the privilege of seeing the movie premiere at Pixar Studios in Emeryville, CA because of my sister's position there. Even cooler, my grandfather's picture is featured in the credits of the movie! I really enjoyed drawing the titles. If you would like to purchase any of my art, go to the tab "Art for Sale" or e-mail me for a custom commission. This song was one of Luis' adds to our song list, and we love playing it! It's super fun and catchy and it got us a nice tip the other day at our gig. "Electric Love" by Børns doesn't appear to have hit the mainstream but it's definitely worth giving it a listen. Hope everyone enjoys our violin and guitar cover. Amy & Luis got to come back to perform at the Cocoa Beach Race (usually a Half Marathon but changed to a 10K this year due to the circumstances). Last year we had a great time and this year was even better! It was nice to see some familiar faces.
I got to use my sign that was made for me last week at the Drive-Thru Senior Expo. We also saw a big crab in the sand! It scared me and I screamed but it was so cool to see. We can't wait to perform at the next race :-) Amy & Luis played a wedding at Estate on the Halifax today and loved the beautiful acoustics in the chapel. The bride walked to "One Song" from Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and the recessional was one of our favorites, "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" made famous by Natalie Cole.
The cocktail hour took place at the Snow White Cottage, surrounded by beautiful gardens and ponds. We loved watching the turtles swim by! This was such a fun wedding for Amy & Luis, everyone was so nice and fun to be around, and it was especially fun because the processional music requests included video game music! Luis is an expert at VG music, check out his band GG CAT for more.
It was another scaled down wedding due to the pandemic, so the venue moved to F&D Kitchen and Bar in Lake Mary. The couple requested a classical prelude, Lazy Afternoons and Dearly Beloved (Kingdom Hearts) for the processional, No Matter Where You Are (Us the Duo) for the recessional, and modern pop for the cocktail hour. We threw in some Disney tunes since they met as dancers at Disney, and it was great to hear everyone singing along :-) Cindy Zingerella at Engaging Events did a phenomenal job planning the wedding and the day went so smoothly for us, really was a pleasure to work with her and can't wait to see them all again next year. Amy & Luis will return for their big 1 Year Anniversary Party! Amy & Luis played a scaled down wedding at Crystal Ballroom at Veranda in Metro West Orlando, the guest list was reduced by 50% but the love was still overflowing. We had a great time playing a full Classical Prelude, it was the requested style but also musician's choice of tunes so we picked our newest set of Classical Duets, written specifically as duets and it was so fun and refreshing! We also played an R&B/Modern Pop Cocktail hour with songs from artists including: Boyz II Men, Khalid, and The Weeknd. It was nice to receive the compliments on both styles and see the guests grooving, from the kids all the way to grandma :-)
Amy & Luis changed things up by creating an electric violin and DJ set. The mashup of Take On Me and Blinding Lights is a sample of this new offering. |
